I have worked for over the last 30 years as a Fight Director and Fight Teacher action coordinator, historical and technical adviser, also working more broadly with the intimate and narrative/communication of and through movement.
Having an extensive and wide ranging knowledge of history directly and indirectly related to Combat. I have intensively studied historical martial arts. Having fought and ridden in my own armours. I am also a master archer.
I also research the psychology and physiology of conflict and communications and learning and skill development.
All to incorporate in to holistic approach. Where we understand why and how things are connected to one to another.
I have and continue to teach at tier 1 drama schools Guildhall and LAMDA. I have over 100 credits with theatres, including venues such as Shakespeares Globe, Chichester Festival Theatre and with companies such Mischief and the Oxford Stage Company and English Touring Theatre.
I have also worked in TV commercials documentaries and drama and film.
My work has also lead me to doing research and other work for museums and heritage sites including The Royal Armouries Museums, The Mary Rose Trust and The Tower of London.
