Gloucester Future Producers is a chance to develop your skills in, and learn more about , managing events, producing festivals, touring shows and promoting gigs. Over 10 weeks you’ll work with other aspiring producers, meet and hear from different arts and events professionals to build your network.

We’ll look at different areas of producing including:

  • Managing live events
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Programming and audience development
  • Fundraising and managing budgets

You will have the opportunity to be involved in producing an event in Gloucester with an allocated budget. You will also be offered one to one mentoring sessions with Strike A Light’s producer.

The course is delivered by Strike A Light in partnership with Gloucester Culture Trust & Gloucester Guildhall.

Who is it for?

If you’re over the age of 18, live in Gloucester or want to get involved with the Gloucester arts and events scene then this is for you.

You could already be running your own events and want to build your network and develop your career. Or you could just be interested in festivals and events and want to find out more.

We’re looking for people excited to collaborate with others and with a passion & drive to make exciting projects happen in the city.

When and where is it?

  • Sessions take place on Tuesdays, 6:30pm-8pm
  • The weekly sessions will run between 23 April & 25 June (you will be expected to attend the majority of the sessions)
  • Sessions will take place at JOLT in Gloucester city centre. It is less than five minutes from the train and bus station. There is also parking nearby which is free after 6pm
