What are we offering?

1 year of in-depth support for 2 artists

We want to ensure even distribution of support to other artforms and we are particularly interested to hear from people working with music and/or song, children/family work, circus and digital art.

Artists working in other artforms or disciplines represented in Brighton Dome programming such as spoken word or new writing, dance, theatre and performance art are still welcome to apply.

Our commitment to the artists

£5k per artist

In addition we can offer:

  • Monthly check in calls/meet with one of our team
  • Access to 2 weeks of free in-kind time in Anita’s Room
  • Contact us for ad hoc advice, read through of draft funding applications
  • Use of BDBF office space to hot desk and meeting rooms (when available)
  • Up to 3 mentoring sessions from past In House Artists or our team
  • Promoting your practice on our website, social media etc
  • You will be part of ‘the team’ and invited to staff events and socials with access to staff ticket offers on our ‘own programme’, access to our employee assistance scheme, venue access pass etc
  • Join our alumni of In House Artists once the residency year is over with continued connectivity to our team and programme
  • We can arrange small audiences to come and watch/listen/experience work in progress and feedback
  • Other support based on negotiation between us on what may support your specific practice and access requirements
