Submission Guidance

Please read this before submitting an opportunity or profile.

All submissions are usually reviewed within 3 – 5 working days and are free to submit.

Please note we don’t list unpaid opportunities unless it is clearly a partnership, voluntary role (e.g. trustee position) or training.

Any salaried job role must include the salary amount.

All roles must be paid at least the National Minimum Wage.

We reserve the right to remove or refuse a listing which can reasonably be judged to be exploitative.

Your opportunity must be available to people based in the UK

We only accept opportunities for the performing arts and related disciplines (theatre, music, dance and related writing and design disciplines).

Internships

The Latch was founded in order to make routes into the creative industries more visible and viable therefore unpaid internships are not accepted. For best practice guidance on internships, please refer to Arts Council England’s resource.

Freelancer Profiles

We accept a wide range of roles, levels of experience and specialisms, however please note that The Latch is focused on the performing arts (primarily theatre, music, writing for performance, circus and dance) therefore your area of work should be clearly linked to these otherwise your submission may be rejected.

We don’t list profiles for performers (e.g. actors, musicians etc.) only people involved in making performance happen offstage.

If you see a specialism or area not listed you believe should be added, please contact us.

We reserve the right to reject any submissions we deem unacceptable or inappropriate.
