Proper Job is a theatre company based in Huddersfield. As well as touring theatre we use our creative skills to help, support and develop individuals. We do this through our LAB Projects which run in Kirklees, Manchester and Calderdale. In October 2019 we started a new employability project; Works Better.
We are now looking for an Engagement and Outreach Manager to join our team to work across both LAB and Works Better. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a positive outlook who would like to join our team in Huddersfield. The right person will be dynamic and have the ability to easily create rapport with a diverse range of individuals. A genuine desire to help others is needed.
A vacancy has arisen to work within our Huddersfield team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with drama experience who can easily build rapport with a range of different people. Someone with good community connections within Kirklees and Calderdale with the confidence to work from within communities and successfully engage with individuals and groups.
We are looking for someone who can use drama and theatre techniques as a tool for engagement. The primary objective is to engage with people for our LAB Projects and Works Better programme.
THE POST HOLDER WILL:
• Work primarily out in the community engaging with individuals and developing relationships with referral organisations
• Work to set up and run a number of outreach activities
• Engage 20 people per LAB course in both Kirklees and Calderdale • Have experience of facilitating drama workshops
• Have the ability to create bespoke sessions
• Be confident speaking in public
