We are looking for a Head of Communications and Media to drive the media messaging, oversee and power our content media campaigns and build the profile of our brand as we open our 4th venue:  Sadler’s Wells East in East Bank  (including Academy Breakin’ Convention (our Hip Hop Theatre Academy) and Rose Choreographic School) in the Queen Elizabeth Park.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, leading talented media team – and alongside senior marketing, digital and social media professionals – this role will help shape our future strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join at this pivotal time as Sadler’s Wells launches its new venue in Stratford; opens two learning institutions, inaugurates an international choreographic prize, undertakes its biggest year of international touring, and releases its first feature film.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Media campaign and reputation management at a senior level, ideally with experience of the culture sector, and with a strong network of media contacts, and brilliant fresh ideas
  • Building powerful comms programmes for varied stakeholders – our targets include Whitehall, Westminster, donors, cultural and media opinion formers and other communities of interest.
  • A track record of delivering and evaluating impactful creative PR and media campaigns across varied platforms, ideally with arts and international experience.
  • Excellent project management, interpersonal, networking and team-building skills.

The role is based in London and will require a hybrid working approach.
