Imaginate are offering professional development, producing support and performance opportunities for two early career artists to develop new theatre and/or dance ideas for young audiences, as part of Launchpad. One Launchpad opportunity is in partnership with Dance Base.

Between April and December 2023, selected artists will have some paid time for research, for attending relevant performances or events, for professional development and for spending time with members of the Imaginate team and other industry professionals.
Each artist will be offered:
- A budget of £4,046 for your time for up to 7 weeks/31 days maximum (£578 per week or £131 per day) to cover research time, attending meetings, seeing performances, research and development time and presenting at a Scratch event.
- A budget to work with additional artists and freelancers to develop and present a scratch performance at an event in Autumn 2023.
- Go & See funding to cover ticket costs for performances and events in Scotland.
- A visit to an international festival for young audiences.
- Mentoring from Imaginate’s Creative Development Director Fiona Ferguson and time with other members of the team.
- Mentoring from Tony Mills (Artistic Director, Dance Base) for the Dance Base Launchpad artist.
- A professional set of production pictures from the Scratch sharing.
