We’re looking for a laser-sharp individual who not only knows a great story when they hear it, but also understands how to shape that story to be a compelling proposition for others.  The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports our marketing team by delivering campaigns and PR coverage for our busy stage programme and other areas of our brand as a vital cultural cornerstone for our community.  This role directly impacts ticket sales, audience development and our reputation.  The role is a juggling act: central to marketing campaign delivery but also to ensuring press coverage, our social media, digital PR and partnership opportunities are all flying.  If you have a love of theatre, a passion for social media, a nose for PR and an eye for marketing, we’d love to hear from you.

What it’s like to work here

We’re a small marketing team that packs a punch. Working closely together and with partners, we’ve built a finely-tuned marketing engine to entice Cornwall’s audiences to discover all that the arts can be.

At Hall for Cornwall, we’re all in!  We’re inclusive and open, kind and welcoming, meeting people as they are and responding to their needs and interests. We’re enthusiastic, committed and constantly encouraging people to feel the power of performance in their lives. We’re drawing on modern tools and technology as well as our deep-rooted heritage to make our new home the very best it can be.

In 2021 we opened a theatre in Truro, Cornwall’s capital city. Full of intriguing spaces and steeped in history, our new building has so far enchanted and inspired 600,000 people.

A flavour of what you’ll be doing

  • Devising, delivering and supporting on marketing and press campaigns for week-long shows, using the full marketing mix to maximise impact and ticket sales.
  • Developing and executing PR campaigns to ensure consistent media coverage for productions, from external what’s on listings being up to date through to key press relationships and bespoke press calls. Writing compelling copy and press releases to maximise impact and convey the HfC tone of voice.
  • Collaborating with the wider marketing team to optimise the use of social media channels and digital technology for effective storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Leading the creation of publicity materials that effectively communicate HfC’s brand story and values.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the impact and ROI of marketing campaigns and PR efforts against agreed KPIs and budgets.
