Have you ever thought of a career in administration in the arts or education, supporting everything that goes into the smooth-running of an organisation?
Would you relish the opportunity to join our small, friendly operations team, helping to provide the administrative support that underpins our courses in acting, dance and musical theatre with a particular focus on timetabling and scheduling and attendance monitoring?
It can be a hugely rewarding career pathway if you have a keen eye for detail and would enjoy having the opportunity to gain a good general oversight of everything that’s involved in the delivery of courses and programmes that a small to mid-sized provider of performing arts training can uniquely offer.
A particular focus of this post will be the monitoring of student attendance and supporting our Timetabling & Scheduling Manager with timetabling and scheduling across the institution. Beyond this, there is the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the administration of our programmes. It’s a busy and thoroughgoing role where no two days are ever the same – and an exciting time to join us at our brand-new campus in Woking.
Ideally you’ll have a good undergraduate degree/diploma in a relevant discipline or a thorough understanding and awareness of all of the underpinning administration needed to ensure the smooth-running of a business gained through experience. What will really mark you out as a strong candidate will be your proactive approach, your excellent organisational and administrative skills and your ability to pick up and work with a Management Information System. And naturally, you’ll love what we do, be willing to get stuck in as part of a small, friendly team and be an all-round communicator – articulate, open, collaborative and a pleasure to work with.
If it sounds like a challenge that would inspire you we would love to hear from you.
Classes at Italia Conti run from 8.00am-8.15pm, Monday to Saturday during term-time, and the Operations Team provide cover throughout the week. The 37.5 hours-per-week for this full-time post would be spread across our opening hours from Monday to Friday with a requirement to work two evenings each week when classes are in session. Our Operations Team is a small, collegial team and there is always a degree of reciprocal flexibility; however at present there is a particular need for cover on Thursday and Friday evenings specifically and so we would ask applicants to bear this in mind at the time of applying.
