The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for a skilled Digital Experience Manager to join the communications team. We want you to help us present this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings together some of the most exciting and creative artists working today. This new role will help us attract the broadest possible audience, on a global stage, as well as developing a high-quality user experience that offers a deeper level of engagement.

The Digital Experience Manager will lead the Festival’s digital team, which is responsible for all the International Festival’s digital platforms, including website, email, SMS and social media as well as the production of photography, audio and video content. The role manages two permanent officers and leads on recruitment of additional temporary team members and freelancers in the lead-up to August, to manage the workload and fast pace of a world leading performing arts festival.

The Digital Experience Manager has the unique opportunity to shape the future of the Festival’s digital output and work with Festival Director Nicola Bendetti and the leadership team to realise our ambitions for significant digital growth. The candidate should have proven experience managing teams and digital products in high-pressure environments. A background working with artists and the performing arts sector is desirable but not required.
