The Director of Production is a senior leadership role at the Royal Exchange Theatre, working closely with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure the smooth delivery of the Theatre’s programme.
The role is focused on delivering a creative, innovative and effective approach to the planning and deployment of the production departments across the Theatre’s programme of work including main space productions, Participation activities and other occasional projects.
The Director of Production will lead our making departments of Lighting, Sound, Stage, Wardrobe and Wigs, Hair and Make-Up and future Workshop, as well as working closely with freelance production colleagues. This role will collaborate with the entire senior team to ensure that the Theatre and its spaces are an inspiring and imaginative place to develop and deliver our entire programme both now and in the future.
