Surface Area Dance Theatre seeks a General Manager and strongly encourages a candidate who identifies as D/deaf, Hard of Hearing, or disabled to apply for the role. This role is full-time, contracted 35 hours a week over five days.
Flexibility in Hours – We understand the importance of a work-life balance and offer our colleagues the flexibility to vary their location between the office and home — working 35 hours flexibly from Monday to Saturday in consultation with the Executive Director.
Location: Dance City, Temple St, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4BR.
Our office space and facilities within Dance City, Newcastle, are accessible. A candidate may be eligible for additional support and assistive technology via Access to Work. Objectives
The General Manager is responsible for the administrative operations and management of the Company’s outputs — working closely with the Executive Director to deliver strategic aims, build relationships and support the Company’s diverse artists and communities.
The General Manager will manage the logistical functions of the organisation and be responsible for implementing reporting systems that ensure the Company operates efficiently and effectively.
