Deadline

Rambert’s Development Department is charged with raising in excess of £600,000 per annum through corporate, Trusts and Foundations, public, individual and events funding streams for work across the full range of the company’s activity.

The Department seeks to achieve a diverse balance of funding across different income types, combining philanthropy and grant-making.

About the Role

The Head of Supporter Engagement will be responsible for cultivating and growing income from individuals, through events and on occasion from corporates. The post holder works closely with the Development Director (who also holds the post of Deputy Chief Executive) in delivering activity with the Development Board, including the Development Board Chair, Beth Adams.

Through your leadership you will realise our ambition to create a step change in how we engage with our supporters across the whole organisation. You will build relationships with supporters of our work- creating annual appeals, regular gifts, legacies and events and creating your own portfolio as well as working with our committed influencer network and board to identify and convert new supporters. You will need to have a strong understanding of the organisation’s direction and strategy and communicate this in a meaningful way for different audiences.

At Rambert we want to hear the most exciting radical ideas, wherever they may come from. This means that we are not afraid to do things differently, which includes embracing failures. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated fundraiser to test new ways of working, whilst building on their fundraising experience to implement and deliver a strategy.

We are in a period of development as we start to think of how to celebrate our centenary in 2026, and you will have the opportunity to project manage substantial and exciting projects for high-value fundraising asks.
