Are you a passionate and enthusiastic individual with an interest in both set design and costume design? Are you in the early stages of your design career? If so, then you could be our new Resident Designer.
This is a role which will provide a wide-ranging opportunity to be part of the creative life of a large-scale building-based theatre organisation as well as to spend time with a small-scale touring theatre company. This is a unique opportunity for a locally rooted Designer to work in a supportive environment surrounded by a wealth of expertise; to grow, build invaluable relationships across a range of departments, develop skills, create work at a larger scale than they have before, learn from highly experienced Designers, and contribute to the development of the next generation of designers and technicians.
This is a fixed-term contract of 35 hours per week. Whilst normal working hours will be Monday to Friday, this role will require flexibility with some evening and weekend working required.
Pay for this role is £20,000 per year, with model making expenses provided on top of this salary.
