Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Senior Marketing Officer is part of a small team responsible for promoting our wide range of artistic and community activity, building audiences and raising our organisation’s profile.

The primary focus is to lead on the marketing for our smaller theatre, Park90; the Senior Marketing Officer will provide excellent customer service to all theatre patrons, the visiting companies and co-producers and ensure that all revenue generating opportunities are fulfilled.

Alongside maximising income and raising the profile of the organisation, the post holder will ensure audiences are developed and maintained in line with the organisation’s audience development strategy and provide audience insights.

The Senior Marketing Officer will be a guardian for all aspects of Park Theatre’s brand and ensure our continuing high standards are met. The role will work closely with Head of Ticketing and Sales & Marketing Director, Park Theatre’s Development and Creative Learning departments and external producers to ensure consistency of approach in all our outward facing communications, and will manage the Marketing Interns.

Person Specification

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills, experience and personal qualities:

Essential

• Experience in a theatre or arts marketing role

• The ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including visiting companies, producers, internal producing departments, external marketing agencies

• Experience of managing social media accounts

• A creative visual flair, and an eye for marketing imagery

• Excellent attention to detail and keen proofing skills

• A process-driven approach to working, with the ability to coordinate a high volume of projects simultaneously and to tight deadlines

• Experience of using Microsoft Office packages

• An enthusiastic, energetic self-starter with good initiative

• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise and work flexibly under pressure

• Sound numeracy and IT skills

• Excellent communication skills, and customer service and telephone manner

• A passion and commitment to theatre

Desirable

• Experience of using Spektrix

• Experience of using DotDigital

• Digital marketing expertise, with experience of running social media advertising and Google Adwords campaigns

• Experience of managing budgets

• Good graphic design sensibility, and Photoshop or InDesign experience

• Website CMS experience

• Photography and videography experience

• Knowledge of digital and social media analytics and metrics, including Google Analytics
