Half Moon is looking for a motivated individual to support our eight Youth Theatre groups with pastoral care, front of house supervision and administration. This is a part time role, for full hours see below.
Hours:
Autumn and Spring terms 24 hours/week –
10 weeks each term (typically 5 before and 5 after half term) Mon, Tues & Weds 3pm to
9pm, Sat 9am to 3pm
Summer term 18 hours/week –
10 weeks (typically 5 before and 5 after half term) Mon, Tues & Weds 3pm to 9pm
Main duties:
- Registration of Youth Theatre members
- Provision of pastoral support to Youth Theatre members as required
- Liaison with parents/carers of Youth Theatre members
- General administrative support for Youth Theatres – including database, waiting lists
and payments
Person specification:
Essential:
- An interest in working in direct contact with young people and their parents/carers
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, including confident telephone manner
- Good oral and written communication
- Strong IT skills including Word/Excel/Access
- Excellent organisational skills
- A high level of numeracy and confidence handling money and statistical data
- Ability to use initiative and work independently
- Experience of working in theatre/arts/community/education environment
Desirable:
- Resident of Tower Hamlets
- Experience of working in culturally and socio-economically diverse communities and inclusive settings
- An appropriate First Aid qualification, or willingness to undertake a course
Fee: London Living Wage, currently £11.95/hour
