Deadline

Whether on our stages at our home on The Cut, touring to schools and community centres across South London, premiering a play in the West End or on Broadway, streaming our work across the country and around the world – the Young Vic is actively working to be a theatre for everyone.

The purpose of the Production Department is to create and run all the technical elements of the Young Vic’s programme – this includes our productions, projects and events, in the main house, studios, digital ‘stages’, and across the creative engagement and talent development departments. The Production Department builds strong relationships with freelance, in-house creative teams, and other artistic personnel to deliver their creative vision within the agreed timescales and budgets, to the highest possible standards.

Members of the Production Department work closely and collaboratively together to realise the full potential of our productions and our company. This includes upholding an inclusive, collaborative culture, committed to our journey towards becoming an actively anti-racist organisation.

The key objective for the role is to provide deputy production management and administrative support to the Director of Technical and Production as well as the wider Young Vic team. This includes taking on project and production management of the Young Vic Studios and supporting the Main House Production Managers.

We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills and stories to join us and influence and develop our working practice. We are particularly keen to hear from Black and Global Majority people, and candidates who self-identify as disabled. All candidates who self-identify as disabled who demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria will be invited for interview. The Young Vic is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, caring responsibilities, disability, gender, gender identity, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation.

Salary: £30,500 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week. Office hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday; however, regular evening and weekend work will be required. No overtime is offered. Young Vic’s TOIL policy is currently under review.
