Cardboard Citizens creates work with and for people who experience homelessness, inequity, or poverty. We make theatre, art, and training which challenges injustice and empowers individuals to make change for themselves, and in their communities. Our small team delivers life-changing theatre and vocational theatre training, reaching over 7,000 people each year.
We are seeking a part-time Senior Producer (Maternity Cover) until the end of April 2024. You will be responsible for leading, planning and ensuring delivery of Cardboard Citizens’ Public Facing Programme. Over the period of cover, we are specifically looking for support with developing our touring model, commissioning, and supporting artists with lived experience of homelessness and poverty, delivering R&D, and providing producing support to our Community Tour to hostels, prisons, and days centres in London.
You will also lead the Citz Futures scheme, which offers 12 paid opportunities per year for people without significant work experience and with experience of homelessness, poverty, or inequity to gain hands on experience of working in theatre in backstage and production roles. Together with the Artistic Director, you will represent these areas for the organisation and as part of the Senior Team, leading the development of this new work and Cardboard Citizens’ relationships in the art sector.
